The only Sport Kettlebells class in Harrogate!
Kettlebell Sport is relatively new and growing fast in the United Kingdom. With its roots in Russia, kettlebells can now be found in almost every gym in the country, but very few people know the correct and traditional use of them. Sport Kettlebells is a power/endurance event which tests athletes over a period of 10 minutes, in specific movements with various sizes of Kettlebells.
At BigKat, we have a strong team of athletes that has competed successfully at international competitions over the last two years, bringing back many medals.
We are members of the Organisation of Kettlebell Sport England and through them we have worked and trained under several world champion Russian athletes including Ivan Denisov and Aleksandr Khvostov.
There are many benefits to Kettlebell training and we have used them as strength and conditioning tools for over 5 years. As compound movements they will increase strength, endurance, balance and flexibility.
Kettlebells are suitable for almost everyone to use - from beginners to elite athletes - and with some technical coaching the progress can be fast and the results astonishing.
The more you do it, the fitter you will get, but the main focus of this class is to get better at Kettlebell sports so you can test yourself in that arena.
You can't get this training at any other gym in Harrogate! Sport Kettlebells is something that can be very competitive but is also accessible to all levels.
Kettlebell Sport is an ideal way to gauge your progression by testing yourself against others, while working towards improving your own personal best.
Exercise with kettlebells will help you improve your flexibility and posture, increase your grip strength, strengthen your joints and tendons, and enhance your cardio.
